Sadie is an author, blogger, perpetual grad student, wife, mother, would be aikidoka, wishful world traveler, over-aged manga addict, nail biter, 日本語のがくせい, occasional beader, passionate reader, internet dependent, American woman in her mid-thirties. She waited a lot of tables in college and then spent seven years investigating allegations of abuse and neglect with the Missouri and Florida Departments of Children and Families. Now she lives just outside Manchester England and pretends that she doesn’t miss Tennessee.
She loves university campuses, and has more education than she needs. Her degrees include a Bsc in Anthropology, with minors in Archaeology and Comparative Religion, an MA in International Criminology, and an Msc in Social Change (Stats).
She is the author of the novel The Weeping Empress, an epic fantasy with YA crossover appeal. It follows the misadventures of a small band as they attempt to escape a fate laid down by the Goddess herself, and changing the course of history as they go.
